Sol Melia Carries Out New Hotel Projects on Cayo Santa Maria

The Spanish hotel group Sol Meliá, which has a strong presence in the Cuban market, is carrying out new projects on Cayo Santa María.

According to experts, a new hotel is scheduled to start up operations in that destination during the upcoming peak tourist season. The Meliá Cayo Santa María Hotel is a property of the Cuban group Gaviota S.A.

The all-inclusive establishment will offer 360 rooms, including double rooms, which are excellent for couples and families, and facilities for sports lovers, who will have the opportunity to enjoy many options at the new hotel.

The hotel will have three swimming pools, four restaurants and four bars, as well as a Sports Club, game arcade and indoor entertainment.

By late 2005, Sol Meliá‘s Cuba Division expects to run some 1,600 of 6,750 rooms planned for Cayo Santa María.
