Havana.- The Cuban beach resort of Varadero, in western Matanzas province, had its tourism infrastructure enlarged after the inauguration of a new hotel.

The Grand Lido Varadero Hotel was officially inaugurated within the framework of the Tourism Convention Cuba’2004, held in that resort recently.

The five-star All-Inclusive hotel is owned by the Cuban group Gaviota S.A. and is administered by the Jamaican chain Superclubs.

The hotel, which consists of bungalows and a main building with a swimming pool and luxury rooms, has a unique and very functional architectural style.

The Grand Lido Varadero Hotel has 360 junior suites, 40 luxury suites, 32 Grand Luxury suites and two villas for honeymooners, among other options.
Gastronomic options are provided by the Gran Terraza Buffet (smorgasbord), five restaurants, two clubhouses, room service and nine bars, including the Cigar Bar and the Piano Bar, among other offers.
