New Tourist Option in Isla de la Juventud and Cayo Largo del Sur

Havana.- Cuba’s special municipality of Isla de la Juventud (Isle of Youth), south of western Havana province, is providing a new tourist option for vacationers visiting Cayo Largo del Sur.

Visitors to Cayo Largo del Sur can enjoy the option called “Travel to Treasure Island”, which was resumed after the arrival of vacationers from Italy and Canada.

Suspended for a year, the program takes foreign tourists to places of interest, including a tour of Nueva Gerona’s historic heart.

Tour operators from the agencies Franco Rossi (Italy) and Tur Mont Royal (Canada) closed a deal with the Cuban firms CUBATUR AND ECOTUR to take vacationers from those countries to the Isle of Youth every week.

The option strengthens links between the Isle of Youth and its major tourist region, Cayo Largo del Sur.
