Posted October 20, 2003 by publisher in Cuba Travel.

Havana.- New facilities will enlarge the tourist infrastructure in Jardines del Rey, a fast-growing destination in eastern Ciego de Avila province.

Among the facilities to be inaugurated soon is the Breezes Hotel, run by the Cuban firm Gaviota and the Jamaican company SuperClubs, so Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo will have 3,600 rooms.

In addition, the second stage of a center dedicated to improve the quality of life, which already has an international clinic, will be completed by this year’s end.

As part of the investment program in Jardines del Rey, works will continue at El Bagá Natural Park, which will have an extra-hotel service center and other major facilities as part of the development of that destination.

Tourism authorities are working on the expansion of the leisure industry in the region and expect revenues of nearly 100 million dollars this year.
