Buffalo, NY - Dozens of American activists campaigned in Buffalo Monday seeking an end to U.S. travel restrictions against Cuba.

They’re part of the Venceremos Brigade, which translated from Spanish, means “we shall overcome.”

They crossed the Peace Bridge from Canada after a week-long visit to Cuba.

Current U.S. Policy prohibits Americans from spending U.S. Currency on cuban soil without a license.

Bob guild of the Venceremos Brigade said, “We feel that for 40 years the U.S. has had these restrictions in place, in effect we feel that they’re immoral, they’re unconstitutional. We feel we have a constitutional right to go there.”

Customs officials admitted the protesters, despite their admissions about travelling from Cuba. They could still face fines down the road.
