Cuba’s tourist industry reached the two-million-tourist mark for the third year in a row, as a result of foreign vacationers’ interest in the cultural, historical and natural attractions of the Caribbean Island.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, Canada is the main source of travelers to Cuba, followed by Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Mexico.

Experts noted that tourists come to Cuba not only to enjoy traditional beach and sun options, but also to benefit from nature and health programs.

They added that Cuba’s tourist programs are also rich in historic and cultural values.

Tourist authorities thanked tour operators, airlines and the media, both Cuban and foreign, for their work to promote travels to the Island.

Cuba offers more than 41,000 rooms in about 200 hotels of different categories throughout the country.
