The only way you can get from Key West to Havana is to swim, and even then it’d probably be illegal….
Currently only Cuban-Americans can legally go to Cuba (American law, not Cuban) from the US , and even then there are restrictions made by the US government.
For these folks there are special charter flights from Miami (dont know if from anywhere else in Florida or US).
But stay tuned - I dont expect ferry service to resume this year, but wouldnt be surprised if its once again running in 2010 if normalizing relations between the US and Cuba ever gets off the ground.
