The Plaza America Convention Center, located in the beach resort of Varadero, will host the 7th Commercial Fair Varadero’2004 this month.
According to sources from the organizing committee, 15 companies from western Matanzas province and the rest of the country have confirmed participation in the event.

The main objective of the fair, they said, is to show off interesting products for the development of the leisure industry on the Caribbean Island.

The organizers expect to turn the forum into a sort of showcase for commercial activities, in addition to boosting trade and reducing imports.

Among the firms that will participate in Varadero’2004 are Tecnoazúcar, Cubanita, Bucanero, Empresa de Bebidas y Refrescos and UniModa, which are among the favorites to win the best-quality and the best-design awards.

Entrepreneurs from hotel and extra-hotel networks in Varadero and nearby tourist regions will also take part in the fair.
