The Cuban capital, which has become a major destination on the largest Antillean Island, provides visitors with a different option at the Miramar Hotel, a perfect mix of cultural offers, entertainment and gastronomy.
Owned by the Cuban group Gaviota S.A., the four-star hotel is also a symbol of the first incursion of the Spanish group Occidental Hotels and Resorts in the Cuban market, after taking over management from the French firm Accor under the Novotel brand.

Previously, the Spanish consortium had 24 hotel complexes in the region (8,123 rooms), of which 10 are in the Dominican Republic, eight in Mexico, four in Costa Rica, and two in the English-speaking Caribbean.

The Miramar Hotel has a well-designed entertainment program aimed at showing its guests the best of Cuban culture and, at the same time, giving them a personalized treatment based on the staff’s high professionalism.

Guests at the Occidental Miramar Hotel can enjoy all modern amenities that characterize today’s tourism and be in direct contact with all facets of Cuban culture, from classical music to Antillean folklore and Caribbean rhythms that prevail on the Island.

Social games and outdoors activities at the 2,000-square-meter swimming pool are combined with theme and folkloric parties, as well as cultural shows at night, all of which have been designed to leave no room to boredom.

In addition to the multi-level swimming pool, sports lovers can exercise in six tennis courts, one squash court and a gymnasium, where guests staying either for leisure or attending conventions held at the hotel’s meeting halls can also enjoy a sauna session or a revitalizing massage.

Of course, after an intense day, the five-story hotel’s 427 rooms, including 255 singles, 121 doubles, 46 suites and 5 wheel-accessible rooms, all equipped with modern amenities to spend excellent vacations, are available for guests.

Gaviota’s efforts are aimed at combining the modern hotel with the experience of Occidental, the largest hotel chain in the Caribbean and the world’s largest group operating under the “All-Inclusive System”.

According to the Spanish group’s philosophy, each of its hotels must have its own characteristics and customs, thus boasting its own style, hospitality, excellent service and comfort.

Occidental Hotels and Resorts operates in major Spanish cities, as well as in other countries, such as Portugal, France, Tunisia, Morocco, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Jamaica, St. Kitts, Aruba and Antigua, and now Cuba.
