The Tampa-based Manatee Florida/Manati Cuba sister city association obtained a People to People license to offer Cuba trips in June.

They use Scand-America International in Tampa Bay, a licensed Cuba travel service provider to arrange the travel services had passengers on the inaugural flight from Tampa to Havana on Thursday September 8.

This sister city organization is offering their Cuba programs to the general public and it’s all legal. The organization was founded in 2002 under a Cuba sister cites program linking Manatee county Florida to Manati Las Tunas Cuba.

The Cuba programs include hotel accommodations with breakfast, ground transportation in Cuba, people to people visits and the letter of authorization from the US Treasury Department that allows for Americans to travel to Cuba legally. 

So, the sister city organization is welcoming all Americans to travel with them on their People to People license that they received from the US Treasury department in June.

All Manatee Florida/Manati Cuba sister city Cuba trips will originate from Tampa Florida. Currently five and seven night Cuba programs start at $1299 are available for booking.

Sample Five and Seven Night Itinerary

Meet and greet at Havana airport by an English speaking host upon arrival with transfer to a Havana hotel.

The programs offer several nights in Havana and one to three nights in the countryside with visits to Pinar Del Rio, Las Tunas and/or Trinidad.

All participants will be compliant with US laws since a full time schedule of educational exchange activities will be provided.

These activities focus on architecture, music, agriculture, history and of course interaction with the Cuban people.

Trips can be customized for groups as small as two people.

A three night package ($998) will be available starting November 3. (Round trip airfare Tampa/Havana/Tampa is extra.)
