Havana.- Jardines del Rey carried out an advertising campaign in several Canadian cities, the main source of vacationers to that Cuban destination, to promote its offers in that North American country.

According to local tourism authorities, the Cuban delegation toured the cities of Montreal, Toronto, Halifax and Quebec.

The tour included meetings with representatives of Canadian tour operators, travel agencies, airlines and specialized media to promote the wide range of offers that will be available in Jardines del Rey during the upcoming high tourist season.

The Office of the Ministry of Tourism in eastern Ciego de Avila province, the hotel chains Gran Caribe and Cubanacán, and their associates Sol Meliá, Iberostar and TMS sponsored the advertising campaign.

Experts said that the initiative aimed to strengthen Canada’s presence in Jardines del Rey, since 80 percent of vacationers visiting Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo are Canadian.
