Havana.- The Cuban hotel chain Islazul, one of the major tourist companies in the Caribbean Island, will enlarge its infrastructure in western Pinar del Río province.

The firm plans to build 24 rooms in the Vuelt abajo Hotel, in the provincial capital, which is benefiting from a thorough renovation program.

During a first stage that is scheduled to conclude in July, renovation works will focus on the façade, the roof and the lobby.

The rooms will be equipped with air conditioning, cable television and telephone, among other amenities.

The 39-room hotel has not been commercialized over the past 10 years. Works will take advantage of the building’s architectural style and excellent location.

Renovation will be completed in 2005, when the works in the restaurant, kitchen, administrative area and the rest of the rooms will be finished.
