Havana.- The Jardines del Rey tourist resort, in eastern Cuba, has reported an increase in tourist arrivals during the first few months of this year.
According to estimates from the leisure industry, the number of vacationers visiting Jardines del Rey from January to date has increased by 25 percent, compared to the same period last year.
The 3,000 rooms available on Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo have received 75,000 guests, and revenues have totaled over 10 million dollars.
Experts said that these results and high-quality tourist services have consolidated Jardines del Rey as one of the fastest-growing destinations in Cuba.
As part of the advertising campaign, Jardines del Rey is promoting optional tours linking vacationers with the region’s environment, culture and architecture.
It is also promoting multi-destination trips to Jamaica and will organize the jazz and salsa festivals in June and September, respectively, with an eye to promoting Cuban cultural values and attract new groups of vacationers.
