Havana.- The Cuban restaurant “La Zaragozana”, considered the oldest establishment of its kind in the largest Antillean Island, presented its new menu.

According to experts, the menu includes many original dishes, which date to the 19th century.

Located on Monserrate Street, in Havana’s historic heart, a few steps from Central Park, this emblematic and picturesque restaurant is owned by the Cuban company Habaguanex S. A.

Founded in 1830, La Zaragozana Restaurant-Bar is one of the coziest places in Old Havana.

In that regard, experts recalled that the excellent quality of its Spanish and international cuisine, as well as some dishes from Cuban traditional cuisine, turn the restaurant into a must for gourmands.

La Zaragozana follows a tradition initiated by Jose Curris, one of its first proprietors in 1830, consisting of decorating the restaurant’s interior with kerchiefs, flags, pictures and scarves donated by costumers.
