Havana.- Cuba’s world famous Varadero Beach, in western Matanzas province, is hosting the 6th EXPOVARADERO’2003 Commercial Fair this month.

The Plaza America Convention Center will host the event, which will be attended by several dozens of domestic and foreign companies interested in taking advantage of business opportunities in Cuba.

Firms from central Cuba, interested in promoting their products and services in the national tourism industry, will be present at the fair.

According to experts, EXPOVARADERO will allow companies from Matanzas and Havana, which are traditional suppliers to the tourism sector, to promote their products.

Sources from the organizing committee pointed out that this kind of event, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba, is also an excellent opportunity to reduce imports.
