The Tourism Group Gaviota S.A., one of the main companies operating in Cuba’s leisure industry, has designed new offers for the 2004-2005 winter season.

The company, founded more than 15 years ago, runs the María La Gorda Dive Center, which is located in Cuba’s westernmost province and offers 35 beachfront rooms and 20 new cabins.

In addition, the 101-room Montehabana Aparthotel, in the Havana residential sector of Miramar, will open in December.

Gaviota will take over the administration of the Playa Varadero 1920 Hotel this year, thus starting to run its own establishments.

Other Gaviota offers include the hotels Playa Pesquero and Playa Costa Verde, on Holguín’s northern coast, and the Playa Coco Hotel on Cayo Coco, Jardines del Rey.

In Varadero, the group will inaugurate the Barcelo Marina Palace Hotel in January 2005. The hotel will offer 296 rooms during an initial stage.

Soo nice and such a wonderful, beautiful and peacefull place to vacationate and visit for a while. Soo terrible that the government of USA do not allow its own citizens the freedom to visit Cuba. What a shame!
