Havana.- The Horizontes Rancho Luna hotel, the largest lodging facility in central Cienfuegos province, reopened after benefiting from a broad remodeling project.

The reopening of the 222-room hotel coincided with the signing of an exclusive commercialization contract between the firm Havanatur, which belongs to Corporacion CIMEX, and Horizontes Hoteles.

Havanatur is a 25-year-old firm that has been a major tour operator in Cuba over the past 11 years, bringing Canadian vacationers to the largest Antillean Island, mainly.

Remodeling works allowed raising Rancho Luna’s standard to a three-star-plus category, adding new services such as sauna, gymnasium, massage parlor, minigolf, recreational club, snack bar and Internet cafe.

The hotel has two wheelchair-accessible rooms and a multipurpose hall to hold different kinds of events.
