U.S. citizens have been barred from dealing with a Cuban travel agency operating in Spain, England and the British Virgin Islands.
The Treasury Department order designates Tour & Marketing International Ltd. as a Cuban-linked enterprise, barring anyone subject to U.S. jurisdiction from doing business with it, The Miami Herald reported Thursday.

Tour & Marketing is a tour operation representing the Cuban government’s Agencia Receptora Ecotura and generates resources for the Cuban government, the Treasury Department said.

Most U.S. nationals are banned from traveling to Cuba.

The Bush administration policy stipulates most of the money from tourism in Cuba goes to the repressive regime of President Fidel Castro.

The Treasury Department also added SerCuba to its list of banned companies. SerCuba is an electronic money transfer company.

What a load of rubbish put out by a paranoid Yankee government! The company in question (and I am their attorney) are 100% British owned. Where does it stop - is the same action going to be taken worldwide against every travel company that sells holidays to Cuba?

This pathetic charade has gone on for 40 years too long!

Does this mean if you purchased a ticket with this company recnetly that you are in some sort of trouble, or it is just impossible for US credit cards to process the orders now?

T&M Ltd, is a 100% privately owned British Travel Company founded and managed by British Nationals. Our accounts are private and our business is to sell travel. We do not share client information with third parties and neither do our banks.

This is yet another clear message from the US administration that they are willing to ride rough shod over any nationís sovereignty and international law, including that of the United Kingdom. If the U.S. wishes to oppress the desires of its nationals from visiting a nation just 90 miles from there shores then that is there 40 year old issue. British nationals and citizens of the world have constitutional rights to travel where they wish and we cater to those people and will continue to. I call upon all UK travel agencies to boycott the sale of travel to the United States in the name of the 150,000 British visitors to Cuba this year and the 1.9 million others from other nations. We have contacted the UK government who we assume will make short work of this ludicrous ruling in due course.

I am so deeply ashamed of my nation (USA) because of actions like these.  This isnít even a Cuban company apparently.

This is yet another example of how the extraterritorial aspects of the embargo take on elements of a blockade.

This action is completely mean-spirited.  My apologies to the company owners and the people of Cuba.

This company cheats people who trust their specialty in cuba Travel. I just returned from Cuba, arranging all my trip with them, finding out that nothing was reserved. Their office in Marina Hemingway does not exist for more than 2years now, and the chamber of commerce said that they do not exist.

Simply stole my money and disappeared. I warn anybody considering to use this company to arrange their travel to Cuba, DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!.
