Havana.- Canada’s flag airline, Air Canada, began regular flights to Havana that will be operating next year.
The flights will depart three times a week and the company will use 120-seat Airbus A319 planes.
The new regular itinerary, in addition to the already existing charter flights, will considerably boost air services from Canada to the island nation.
The new route to the City of Havana, with three frequencies a week, will be added to ten flights to Varadero, six to Holguín, six to Cayo Coco and two to Cayo Largo del Sur.
Air Canada is the world’s top 11th airline. It carries some 30 million passengers to 150 destinations in the five continents every year. It is also considered one of the safest airlines in the world.

As a frequent traveller to my other home Cuba , I am pleased with the additional flights, and as prices continue to lower I shall increase my travel . I currently make 8 - 12 trips per year .
I paln a trip from Canada to Cuba at the end of this (2004) year. We are interested in “bone fishing.” Anyone have information on this fishing or on private rentals available near playa dayaniguas, or playa largo (bay of pigs)?
