Felipe Perez Roque travels to Europe for multiple talks

Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque will represent his country in various international forums and will hold official talks in France, Italy and Geneva, the local media reported on Saturday.

According to Granma newspaper, Perez Roque will preside over the Reactivation Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement in Paris, in the works of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, in compliance with the agreements reached at the 14th NAM Summit Conference held in Havana in Sept. 2006.

Perez Roque will also attend the High Level Segment of the 4th Session of the Human Rights Council on March 13 in Geneva, Switzerland.

During his stay in Switzerland, the head of Cuban diplomacy will meet with Micheline Calmy-Rey, chair of the Federal Council of the Helvetian Federation.

He will also pay working visits to the Vatican, Italy and Portugal, where he will meet with top authorities and will discuss issues of bilateral and multilateral interest.
