OFAC license renewal help needed

Any one in the US trying to obtain or renew a OFAC license prepare your self for a long and exasperating process. I submitted my renewal two months ago and have had no acknowledgement of my applicaton other than my receipt of delivery from Fed Ex. My attempts at calling OFAC have been fruitless. I have been on hold for extended periods of , time and had none of my phone call voice messages are returned. It appears the new policy of OFAC is to deny all license renewals. If any one has any success or contacts at OFAC and can provide any advice or counsel, it would be appreciated.

Pester your congressman and senator, these are the people who are suppose to represent you in this democracy.  Ask your friends to assist you with these endeavors, if they vote be sure to tell them that you do vote, this is the most important to tell them this.  Be sure to ask your congressman & senator why
a response is taking so long.  Remember when election time comes, their is always third party candidates, with very intelligent and good intentioned candidates to vote for.

They will probaby wait to contact you until after your license expires then tell you that you can’t renew because you let your license expire.

I have a Fed Ex receipt that they received and signed for the renewal 30 days prior to expiration. The word I hear is that Florida exile contingent in Congress wants ALL licenses(except business licenses) cancelled

Well, they are in charge of the Embargo and Bush’s Cuba policy.

Sad that a small handful of old wealthy Cuban exiles that lived in Cuba and made lots of money while the Mob ran Cuba, can control US policy for 45 years.

It is pathetic. I have Cuban- American friends that can’t even go to visit family in Cuba under the present draconian rules
