Cuba Action Day postponed

Press Release

Dear Cuba Policy Advocates:
We are writing today with an urgent message and a heartfelt apology. Our coalition’s event, the Cuba Action Day, which we had scheduled for March 15th and wrote to you about in late December, has been postponed. We were bumped out of the room that we had reserved in the Senate office building, and we have consequently had to reschedule the entire event. We realize that some of you may have already made travel plans and that this causes significant problems for you. We cannot apologize enough for the inconveniences that this change may cause you.
We are working closely with our Senate and House allies to find a date and a space for this event and will let you know as soon as we do. Again, we apologize and hope that you’ll understand that this change was effectively out of our control. The positive piece of this challenge is that the response we have been getting about Cuba Action Day has been very positive; therefore, the room we use needs to be large enough to accommodate all the participants.
The dates we are currently considering are in April; the specific date will depend upon the venue we are able to confirm.  The event we are planning will be large and effective, a “not-to-be-missed” gathering. We hope that all of you, if you are able, will come to the event. Part of our strategy for the event is to have a large and diverse group of people representing all the various sectors of the U.S. population. We need you there!
A website with details and registration forms will be launched as soon as we have our new date. You will be the first to know.
Again, we are very sorry about having to make this change.
