Abdullah to visit Cuba for talks with Castro

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datu Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will make a three-day official visit to Cuba from Nov 24 to 26 at the invitation of President Fidel Castro.

A Wisma Putra statement said Abdullah would have talks with Castro at the Palace of the Revolution.

He is expected to tour Cuba’s Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, the University of Information Technology Sciences and the “19 Abril” Polyclinic and lay a wreath at the Jose Marti Memorial. 

Abdullah’s delegation includes the Plantation, Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui, Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr Shafie Salleh, Health Minister Datuk Dr Chua Soi Lek and Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum. � Bernama
