Bay of Pigs - Diagrams of Plans of Attack on Cuba by US

Posted August 20, 2004 by publisher in Cuba Politics.

The invasion plan called for paratroopers to land on the roads near San Blas, Yaguaramas and Jocuma (far left) and at Palpite in the west. The infantry battalions would land by sea to link up with the paratroopers and reinforce the defenses. The impenetrable Zapata Swamp would prevent Castro from attacking except along the roads. The plan worked well in the east.
