Cuban Workers Mourning Demise of U.S. Companies with Coffins 1960

The spirit was light, but the event serious. When 26 U.S. companies were expropriated, Cuban workers “mourned” their demise by tossing 26 coffins into the sea. Many Cuban officials disapproved of such levity, though approving the move.
