Dear Cuba Policy Advocates:

QUICK REMINDER:  The Transportation/Treasury appropriations bill is
scheduled to come to the House of Representatives floor TOMORROW.  This
is the bill that will hold the Cuba travel amendment.  If you haven’t yet made a call or sent an email to your member of Congress, NOW is the time to do it!  Please make your voice heard.  If you have already contacted your representative, please do it again.

The travel amendment will be offered by Congressman Jeff Flake (R-AZ)
and other members of the House Cuba Working Group; it would end funding for the enforcement of the travel ban.

Call (US Capitol Switchboard 202.224.3121) or email (go to and select “Write Your Representative” to send an email message) your member of Congress TODAY!

The message is simple, direct, and clear: Vote for the Freedom to Travel to
Cuba; lift the ban on legal travel by Americans to Cuba.  Specifics:

1) Ask your representative to vote YES on the Flake Amendment to end
the ban on travel to Cuba, which will be offered on the Transportation,
Treasury and Independent Agencies Appropriations bill.

2) Vote NO on false alternative amendments that delay us in reaching
our goal.

3) Insist on action THIS YEAR.

4) Forward this message.  Ask your friends and colleagues to call or
write their representative TODAY about the freedom of travel to Cuba.

Thanks for any help you can give; again, please send us a quick email
message letting us know what you have done.  We’ll let you know what
