A shipload of Soviet aircraft- possibly twin-jet IL-28 bombers- nears Cuba and is photographed at low altitude by a U.S. Navy patrol plane. The big slatted crates fore and aft seem to contain planes with their wings already attached. There also appear to be aircraft fuselages stowed beside the crates inside the ship’s rails.
