This is the 16th year the Pastors for Peace Caravan (P4P) will defy
Bush and Washington’s travel ban and embargo against the people of
Cuba. P4P endeavors to end the U.S. blockade against the Cuban people.

These events are in support of the internationalist spirit of the
Cuban people who seek peace through economic, social and cultural
cooperation.

What better way to celebrate a weekend of Canadian and U.S. holidays
and stand up for civil rights in both countries? All events are
tailored to family participation with food, entertainment, education
and cross-cultural celebration.

FRIDAY 1 JULY 5:30PM—VICTORIA, British Columbia

EVENT: Victoria Goods for Cuba P4P Launch and Send-off

HIGHLIGHTS: Wish caravanista Genevieve Mutschler well at this
celebration to launch the 16th annual Pastors for Peace Caravan

EVENT: The Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Church together
with the Canada Cuba Friendship Association (CCFA) P4P Vancouver
Kick-off Event

ADDRESS: Hewitt Hall, Unitarian Church, 49th and Oak Street, Vancouver,
BC

HIGHLIGHTS: Hear longtime Cuba defender and P4P representative
Catherine Murphy speak on green agriculture and equal rights gains on
the island. Enjoy wonderful food and great entertainment by the
Vancouver and District Labour Council (VDLC) choir “Solidarity Notes”
exquisite voices celebrating resistance and victory. A perfect family
event.

SUNDAY 3 JULY 11:30AM—PEACE ARCH PARK, Canada/US Border

EVENT: Potluck launch of the 16th P4P Caravan

REQUEST: Bring a dish or beverage to this event to share with friends

MEETING PLACE: Northwest corner of Peace Arch Park

LEGAL NOTICE: No passports or legal documents are necessary to enter
this is international territory

AMERICANS FRIENDS: Park your car at the Peace Arch Park parking lot
prior to entering Canada. Once in the park you’ll see Cuba banners
and flags to indicate activities (NW corner of the park).

CANADIAN FRIENDS: Park your car prior to entering the U.S. and walk
to event. You’ll see Cuba banners and flags to indicate activities
(NW corner of the park).

HIGHLIGHTS: Join with friends from Olympia, Seattle, Bellingham,
Vancouver and Victoria. Hear British Columbia’s caravanista Genevieve
Mutschler speak at this celebration to launch the annual Pastors for
Peace Caravan. Enjoy a potluck picnic, brief orations and great
entertainment by the Raging Grannies. Accompany the P4P caravanistas
as they attempt to enter the U.S. illegally with humanitarian
supplies for the people of Cuba. A perfect family event.
