Interior Minister, Luis Orlando Rodriguez, is lawyer who ran the rebel radio. He plans to clean out political jobholders, reform prisons.

    Mr. Luis Orlando Rodriguez had to resign, because Fidel Castro wanted him to mix political prisoners with common delinquents, which was not accepted by Luis Orlando. Luis Orlando resigned 24 hours later. Fidel Castro sent Mr. Luis Orlando Rodriguez to Europe (away from power) for 20 years and put Ramiro Valdez (a ruthless communist) in his position in charge of Cuba’s prisons and police force.

    My grandmother was Ambrosia Rodriguez from Hoya Colorado.  Disinherited and cut off from family in early 1900s for marrying an American. Wondering if related to Luis Rodriguez. Interested in knowing if I have family in Cuba. Could you put me in touch?
