Dear Cuba Policy Advocates:

At this very moment the Senate is unexpectedly debating the Cuba travel
amendment on Transportation-Treasury Appropriations bill.  Your
senators need to hear from you NOW.  Please help us light up the phones in all senators offices, asking them to vote YES on the Dorgan amendment to end enforcement of the travel ban to Cuba, and YES on a Craig second-degree amendment to the Dorgan amendment.  We’ll explain this strategy later; right now it is imperative that you get to the phone and call both of your senator; US Capitol switchboard is 1.800.839.5276 or 202.224.3121

FLASH:  Senator Stevens just made a motion to table the Cuba travel
amendment.  URGENTLY tell your senators to vote AGAINST any motion to
table.

There may be more than one such motion.

Review:  Vote AGAINST any motion to table the Cuba travel amendment;
      Vote FOR the Dorgan amendment to end enforcement of the travel
ban to Cuba; Vote FOR a Craig second-degree amendment to the Dorgan
amendment.

More later.  Please CALL your senators!  There isn’t time to email!

Sincerely,

Mavis Anderson
