“...one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws”
Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dear Friends,

On March 12 in Washington DC there will be a celebration of the work of the Venceremos Brigade at 7PM at the Cuban Interests Section, 2630 16th Street NW.

There will be presentations by Ambassador Dagoberto Rodriguez, former and current leaders of the Venceremos Brigade and other brigadistas.

Within this context we will also be celebrating the life of former VB leader Kenneth Jones, and others who have passed in recent years.

While it will be a time for reflection and exchange with friends we have not seen for some time, it will also be a time to recommit ourselves to the struggle against the intensifying US government attacks on the Cuban Revolution.

The 36th Contingent of the Brigade will be traveling from July 17 to August 1, 2005 in defiance of the US travel ban - as we have every year since 1969.

If you are able to attend, please email Diode Walden at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
