Havana, Cuba - baseball is the national sport in cuba…“los aficionados” cheer passionately for their teams, one of the most popular being “los industriales” who play in havana…but baeball, or “la pelota” is not just for adults..everywhere you go on the island, be it in a city, a small “pueblo” or in “el campo”, kids are always playing baseball…many times with just with a piece of wood for a bat , and a rock or a crumpled can for a ball, but there are out there, taking their best cuts and dreaming of the big leagues…Play ball!
