Casablanca, Cuba - a little fishing village across the bay from Havana…this painting is pretty much a tribute piece to Hemingway, who spent a fair number of years in Cuba.  The book “the old man and the sea” is based on an old fisherman in the village of Cojimar, ...the names and numbers on the boats are all significant in the life of Hemingway..
