I am travelling to Cuba for the first time, and have seen some beautiful Cuban art on websites. I understand that to bring art out of the country involves obtaining some permits, and it seems that - I hope I am wrong- one must pay for the painting, and ultimately the painting gets sent to you. Is this the case? Is there a risk in paying in full that you might not get your painting?
