Dear forum community!

One of my friends was in cuba a few months ago. He bought a box of Cohiba Esplendidos.

I think they are fake, but not sure.
I am a beginner in cigars, but I have some real esplendidos to compare with the boxed ones, but I’ve never seen a real box of esplendidos, so i do not know, how an original looks like.

The seal on the box was not broken, I was the first person who opened it.

- there was no instruction sheet inside the box
- there is no stamp on the bottom of the box
- the claps look real
- rings on the cigars look real

The quality of the cigars are very close to my other esplendidos.

Here are some photos:

Thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Igor

If you have compared them to our Cohiba page here http://havanajournal.com/cigars/cohibas then you might want to cut one open and see if the fillings is shredded or whole leaves. That is the true test.

Unfortunately I cannot cut them, they are not mine, yet.

I cannot tell my friend, that I have to cut one, to prove if it is real or not.

I’ve forgot to tell, that on the photos, where there are two cohibas separated on the right side of the pictures, those two cigars are originals.

I’ve placed them there for comparison.

Also, in the humidor, the bottom two cigars on the picture, are the surely real ones.
