My wife is Cuba and lives with me in London, we are planning to go to Cuba in December mainly so she can visit family and friends and also to holiday.

My wife holds a Cuban passport but is waiting permission from the Cuban Embassy here in London to see her family in Cuba. She has not returned at all since she arrrived in London in August 2006. Is it possible to circumnavigate the required permission by entering Cuba on a flight from Kingston, Jamaica?...or does she need the permission irrespective of what country she is coming in from?

i could be wrong, but am sure that all the Cuban authorities at port of entry care about is that she has or lacks permission to enter the country and not where she comes from or what route she takes. She therefore will need to wait to get permission from the embassy.
