Cuban artist Ileana Mulet, who was artist in residence for our April/May tour, is keeping busy and now can be found on YouTube in a video entitled “Ardor”, a segment of a program originally broadcast on Cuban television earlier this year. In June Ileana mounted her most recent exhibition of paintings, “Viaje al Infinito” at the Jose Marti Memorial in Havana. We were fortunate enough to be shown one of the central pieces for this exhibition, when we visited Ileana at her home in Havana in April, where she demonstrated some of her characteristic painting techniques for the benefit of the group.
