does anyone know what a cuban is to do when they are denied an exit permit?

I have a friend there that I have known for years, he is married to a girl from Central America…he had a visa from that country but was denied his exit permit…from what it sounds like they asked him if he knew any “other” foreigners….he said no…but when they did some checking, they found out he knows me….so they denied him the exit permit.

this country never stops amazing me.

Most Cuban’s who are denied exit permits must re-apply. It is an excruciatingly long process.  My friend applied 4 times before it materialized—and it was for Canada. Don’t give up. Persistence pays off.

Any update on this situation? Any advice for others?
