I will be travelling with one or two companions for two weeks in mid August. Anticipating wanting to cover more ground than the local public transportation will allow for in the restricted amount of time we have (Ciego de Avila, Trinidad, Santa Clara and hopefully Santaigo) and not willing to pay $40 US or more for a rental car, I am looking to make an arrangement to either rent a private vehicle for the two weeks or a vehicle plus a driver. That, or rent a car through an agency at a reasonable price!! Any suggestions as to the feasability of doing this. While I’ve got your attention, any tips on room and board in Trinidad and Santiago. We are OK for Ciego and Sta Clara. Thanks.
