Moscow. Few weeks ago I returned from two-week trip to Cuba, and now I’m dreaming of staying there for a long time.

I see. I used to live there for almost four years. Now i want to come back. But they get around $20 monthly. I just dont want to die starving. How much did it cost for you to get and stay there?

$20 monthly - it’ an average. Average monthly salary in Moscow also isn’t too high - but I’m not average, regardless to where I am now. Two-way ticket there and back - $1100. People there do not die starving, so I assume for me it is also possible.

$20 US equals close to $500 Cuban pesos that go a long way in Cuba. Certainly much longer than what the 20 million homeless have in the USA.

Yes Alexey, capitalism offers you many opportunities to work your you know what for peanuts that can not get you anywhere and won’t be enought to pay for cheap food, rent, taxes, fees, more taxes, gas, car payments, insurance, dental work, optical work, hospitals, doctors, license fees, schools registration and parking, credit cards, ect., ect. ect. In the land of freedom to exploitand discriminate, you would be working the rest of your life just to, if lucky, bearly pay your constant bills and creditors. And do not think that at work you would be able to go much furhter high in rank, for there is a secret non-democratic rule that foreign borns can get many pads in the back, but only a couple of promotions at work, and that is because the top paid positions are reserved by the top bosses for their close friends, relatives, church fellows or local anglo-saxon boys.

Waldo it was me Nest, the one that wrote about capitalism, cheap food( lots to choose from), rent (you save money you get your own place), taxes(provides protection and free schools), car payment(you can choose to ride a bike or city tarnsportation), insurance , dental, optical(provided by must employers), credit card(is your choice, you can choose to pay cash , like I do), work for the rest of my life( yes i do not want the govertment to support me), you can move up inrank based on your knowledge not on your political views (in Cuba there is political discrinination), I was not allowed a higher education because I was not in agrreemnet with Fidel, if you feel that you are not getting paid what you are worth, do what I do, open up your own business, it is all about choices and YOU ARE IN CONTROL. NEST.

Guys, stop arguing. I know perfectly what US are and I don’t like it. Cuba is MUCH MUCH better. Yes, Cuba also has a price to pay,  but nothing goes for free.
