I visited Havana in March, 1959 when I was 13. I was with my grandparents. We arrived in Cuba on the S/S Yarmouth out of Miami.
At dock, I briefly met, with my grandmother, Ernesto Guevara, who came on board with his entourage. I didn’t know who he was at the time. This was an interesting visit and stay.
I have a question. Does anybody out there know why the Yarmouth is not listed as having visited and docked in Havana in march, 1959??? No passenger lists, nothing.
This is a mystery to me because the Yarmouth’ schedule and passenger lists exist in circa 1961, etc. Please help address this query.
