The visit yesterday Fidel Castro to The Corner on the outskirts of Havana, has once again shown the secrecy with which the regime seeks to silence the months of survival still president.
Thus, the withdrawal of the note appeared in the official website of the Venezuelan government where he realized the pilgrimage anotándola into account Hugo Chavez, who would have persuaded to visit San Lazaro, clearly show that Castro II and Co. .They refuse to disseminate news about the true state of health of the “commander in chief”.
Also, the data and behold worrying about your state of mind and this sudden return to the chair of Peter.
In any case, it is impossible to keep secret a visit that collapsed yesterday all access routes to the corner and that there were numerous witnesses. Radio Marti has conveyed this morning the testimony of several sellers of booths selling flowers and religious images located next to the temple, and even if his statements are contradictory, it is confirmed that the visit took place around 17:00 hours yesterday, Castro came to the church in the same caravan of Mercedes Benz in which tended to move soon , which joined now two ambulances medicalized, and was accompanied by important personalities of the clergy and endless bodyguards and officials.
Just differ statements by the witnesses who spoke to Radio Marti about the clothes they wore one argued that the dictator was covered with cloth bag, the other two, said they wore a suit sporting color crema- and whether the last leg did knees or crawl. But it is certainly secondary issues.
What’s surprising that an elderly patient come to seek health St. Lazarus, just like any other Cuban? Why Raul Castro refuses to make this information publicly available that humanizes his brother?
Only time will tell.
So far, the curious note appeared a few hours ago on the website of CENESEX, led by Mariela Castro ensalzando the diversity of Cuban families in the place where brothers “who profess the most fervent Catholicism ‘other’ they assume, or assume in the future, its status homosexual “can tell what new spiral of suspicion that opens between brothers Castro.Publicado: The Tone of voice

Translation by Google

Note; The San Lazaro that a lot of Cubans Worship is not an official Catholic saint, the San Lazaro in here mention is a beggar found in the book of Luke and not the Lazarus Jesus resurrected.
The Lazarus Fidel Might have visited is related to Santeria and not Christianity.

This article is making my head spin. Are you saying that Fidel visited a church yesterday? Do you have a link to the original article? I appreciate the translation but would like to see the original article.

Also, if Radio Marti is involved in the least, I don’t the credibility of the story since Radio Marti has no credibility. It is propaganda organization funded for the benefit of Cuban Americans in Miami.

No. I’m not turning commie but I hate to see my tax dollars wasted on a useless government program.

Radio Marti exists for the benefit of Cuban Americans and not so much for the benefit of the Cuban people in Cuba. I don’t think there are many people who would argue with me on that.

The News Broke in the official Venezuelan Newspaper, later it was removed from the INTERNET copy.
Many Spanish speaking media have interviewed the people who sell flowers in front and to the side of the San Lazaro Shrine, they saw Castro practically being carried in by Body Guards and medical staff, it was very early in the morning, the shrine had being empty previously by police.
He was carried in and looked very frail, didn’t look like the Fidel we are use to seeing” said one witness named Elpidio Diaz.
“He was dressed with a sack cloth garment like San Lazaro and had a comforter over his head”, Said Maria suarez.
“No said another witness , nu had a beige suit on, not sack cloth “But it was Fidel.
He fainted said one of the devotees to San Lazaro who works in the shrine, and was carried out quickly and put on an oxygen bottle”
Just some of exerts from Radio interviews in Spanish.

Thanks for posting the link but I just don’t see it being a legit story. Still doesn’t make sense to me.

Fidel Castro leaves the hospital, there are witnesses and he goes to a religious site?

Just does not make sense, especially since no news organization picked it up.

Look at all the links in google.
There are many things happening in Cuba , that are not picked up by Media.
If you ever had being in Cuba , you will notice how control everything is, specially anything to do with Fidel.
It is not like here , where if the president is going to have acheck up for cancer, it is told days before.
Cuba is a closed society, The cuban Americans are usually who find out things first , because of the family contacts within the island.
Many family Members who are in the Gov. are the first to release info to Family in the exterior, many things cannot be verified, but most things are true.

Thanks for that insight. Maybe the story is legit but if Fidel was going to visit some shine or any location for that matter, why wouldn’t his body guards round up all potential witnesses and move them away from the site?

I find it hard to believe that Fidel would let anyone see him being carried anywhere, especially when he hasn’t been seen in public.

Anyway, the story got some “ink” here.

Might be his last attempt to get a miracle from a Santeria Ritual.
I don’t think he will get it, when your time is up, it s up.

I can see the headline now “Fidel Castro gets religion in his last days”.

Seems like a long shot but maybe something interesting happening.

Getting down to business, I tried to follow the source of this article, which now has being proved to be a hoax or a fools day’s Prank.
A blogger named Jose Ferrer started all of this , so he could have a laugh and see how quickly rumors and Internet news moves according to him.

Since we found out he was the source he has confessed but has not apologize;

http://www.cubaencuentro.com/es/blogs/el-tono-de-la-voz/secretismo-en-torno-a-la-visita-de-fidel-castro-a-el-rincon-en-la-tarde-de-ayer-ii

I gave him a piece of my mind and in Cuban I called him what he deserved to be called “COME MIERDA” (Sh*** Eater).

I apologize for falling for this prank.
We urge all people interested in Cuba To avoid this joker’s Blog http://WWW.CUBAENCUENTRO.COM

Thanks for following up on this.

I didn’t believe it. Fidel would have cleared the entire area IF he could have even gotten to the church.

I do believe however that he is having respiratory problems as reported elsewhere.

Just for the record, this story was a “joke”. A joke that I think was more of a prank by Jorge Ferrer. The way I see it, he let this story circulate knowing that it was not true then finally confessed, I mean admitted that it was just a joke. As you can see from my posts above, I didn’t believe the story anyway. But Jorge Ferrer has lost credibility since now he is just a comedian.

Read the whole thing here http://cubantriangle.blogspot.com/2008/01/just-joke.html
