Cuba says it has developed a treatment for the Hepatitis C virus that would contribute to a long-term cure of liver damage caused by the disease.

The Havana-based Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology said the product is a combination of Alpha-2B interferon and Rivairina, developed in the country.

The combination of these two formulas allows for an increased therapeutic response in people suffering from chronic hepatitis.

Doctors say Cuban patients can now rely on an alternative treatment that increases possibilities to control the illness.

He said the objective is to wipe out the virus circulating in the patient’s blood.

Clinical trials of the product were carried out at the National Gastroenterology Institute in Cuba.

It is well known that Cuba’s biotechnology is very good as the international standard is concerned,Cuba has done a very good job in biotechnology, some
doubters say that is to cover others “nasty productions” such as Mw,but nobody
has been able to prove anythings about, and what Cuba has proved, beyond doubts is that the cubanbiotechnology is really good for the sake of the cuban
scientists’keen and dedication.

Is this treatment only for cubans, or is it available for anyone who would be able to go there as a patient and be treated.

All good questions. Hard to get information out of Cuba. Keep poking around. I would imagine that you have to be a Cuban citizen or have contacts in Cuba.

For myself the big potential hurdles lie in the time, testing based on U.S.protocol, will allow for us to access the drug for its benefit. Will it get shelved due to its origin and as this has also lead to the unwitting path of a cure which certainly doesn’t make as much sense as maintanence drugs do, will it get washed into the fabled realm of ’ never heard of it’.
It makes sense the cure would come out of a socialist regime, as curing makes more sense than maintaining unhealthy workers, where as we… well…ever been to the public health clinic?

WE MUST DEMAND RESULTS IMPARTIALLY AND PUBLISHED NATIONALLY!!!-CORPORATE TYRYANNY SHOULD NOT EXIST IN THE DRUG WORLD - SEEK CURES NOT LIFETIME MAINTANENCE PLANS - THE RESULTS OF THE EFFICACY RATE SHOULD BE MADE INTERNATIONALLY PUBLIC!!!
