Cuba National Baseball Team roster for 2005

The Cuban team that will compete in the world baseball championship is training hard to win the title in that major sports event.

According to experts, the team that will participate in the 36th World Cup includes 16 players who made the team that won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, in 2004.

The team is made up of catchers Ariel Pestano, Roger Machado and Eriel Sánchez, and infielders Joan Carlos Pedroso, Rudy Reyes, Eduardo Paret, Yulieski Gourriel, Michel Enríquez and Juan Carlos Moreno.

The outfielders are Frederich Cepeda, Alexei Ramírez, Osmani Urrutia, Carlos Tabares, Leslie Anderson and Yoandry Urgelles.

The team’s pitchers are Pedro Luis Lazo, Danny Betancourt, Ormari Romero, Frank Montieth, Norberto González, Adiel Palma, Yulieski González, Yadier Pedroso and Yunieski Maya.

The Cuban baseball team will be coached by Higinio Velez, who will be assisted by Carlos Cepero, Francisco Escaurido, Jose Elosegui, Juan de Dios Peña and Lourdes Gourriel.

Can you tell me where the Cuban National Team is practicing in preparation for the World Baseball Classic? I am going on a vacation to Cuba next week and would love to see the team work out if possible.
