Shanghai, one of the major Chinese cities, will benefit from the services of a Casa del Habano, the fifth such establishment operating in this Asian country.

Experts from the sector pointed out that the inauguration of the establishment resulted from the growing interest in Havana cigars, which are made with the best tobacco in the world.

Casa del Habano will sell 37 brands of Havana cigars, although it is authorized to commercialize up to 68 brands, including the world-famous Cohiba and Montecristo.

The most expensive cigars, which are carefully stored at a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit), are the Cohiba Esplendido, which cost 47 dollars a piece, while Partagás and Epicure 2 are sold at less than 25 dollars each.

Shanghai’s Casa del Habano will join other such establishments operating in Guangdong, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Beijing.

The opening of these establishments in different countries is part of a strategy aimed at meeting the growing demand for Havana cigars.
