Thalassotherapy in Jardines del Rey Cuba

Posted January 25, 2005 by publisher in Cuba Culture.

Jardines del Rey, tourist destination in the northern keys off eastern Ciego de Avila province, offers facilities where tourists can improve their quality of life.

That is the case of the International Thalassotherapy Center, located near the hotels of Jardines del Rey and considered a unique option in the region.

Thalassotherapy combines the marine environment (water, air, weather) with similar elements (algae, sand and mud) with therapeutic purposes.
The center is equipped with French-made technology, which contributes to increasing physical yield and improving the visitors’ health.

Add to this that seawater from Cayo Coco, which is rich in amino acids, vitamins and minerals, is used in either its natural environment or equipment like hydro-massage tubs.

Treatments, which are used to fight stress and improve the general state of health, are complemented by applications of algae, mud and stimulating massages.
