Havana Jazz Festival and Cuban Music Intensive trip to Cuba

In December, we are offering the Cuban Music Intensive, which is a comprehensive program that combines Cuban music and dance studies with seminars and performances of the HAVANA JAZZ FESTIVAL. We are also going to be offering a Treasury Department licensed program that will investigate Santeria and other Afro-Cuban religions, December 13 - 20, 2004. MUSIC PROGRAM examines Cuban popular music and Latin jazz with lecture/demos, rhythm workshops and master classes with top Cuban musicians like Pupi Pedroso, Changuito and more!

DANCE PROGRAM offers daily classes in Salsa and other styles of Popular dance taught by members of leading dance group, Ban Rarra.

Travel regulations still allow professionals to travel to Cuba for research purposes. This program offers intensive classes in music and dance and has been developed for people who are serious about learning and for professionals who can use material gathered in Cuba in their work here in the US. This workshop offers a full-time schedule of classes designed to meet requirements for legal travel to Cuba for certain types of professionals. If you are a musician, dancer, researcher, teacher or work in a related field, you may qualify for this type of travel.
