Havana.- Callejon de Corina (Corina’s Alley), a popular cultural site in western Pinar del Río province, has recovered the charm that turned it into a place visited by musicians and poets.

Local authorities are carrying out a socio-cultural and recreational project in Callejon de Corina, a traditional spot often visited by Miguelito Cuní and Niño Rivera.

As part of the project, literary and musical workshops, concerts by “danzon” and rap groups, fashion shows and “trova” and rumba recitals have been held.

Although the project’s main goal is to promote the community’s cultural potential, the participation of renowned intellectuals in the program has gone beyond expectations.

In that regard, several artists have expressed interest in painting a mural to decorate the area.
