Havana.- Teatro Nacional de Cuba is hosting a photo exhibit entitled “Images of Quebec”, by the Canadian artists Gilles Beribe and Francine Vallee.

The exhibit, made up of 40 images, objects and poems, highlights the nature of that Canadian province, inhabited by seven million people of French origin.

According to critics, Beribe’s camera captured images of humans and many sensitive areas surrounding them, while Vallee’s poetry resulted in a support to recreate sentiments leading people along incredible roads.
In statements to reporters, Beribe pointed out that the exhibit is expected to highlight his interest in Cuba, in addition to promoting rapprochement between the two peoples.

The exhibit is sponsored by Teatro Nacional de Cuba, the Canadian Embassy in Havana and Quebec’s Ministry of International Relations, among other institutions.
