Havana.- Cuban establishments specialized in selling Havana cigars expect to commercialize 500,000 units of Punch minicigars this year.
Executives from the Cuban-Spanish joint venture COTAIS S.A. pointed out that they are exporting that product to 21 countries, where they expect to sell 10 million units.

The experts added that next year, the company would make MIDI cigars, which are small cigars that are thicker and longer than the MINI category.
As part of the firm’s strategy to commercialize Punch minicigars in the country, COTAIS S.A. signed an agreement with the shopping network Universo, attached to the group Cubanacán S.A.

Universo sells nearly five million units of all brands of cigars every year, with average revenues of 10-14 million dollars.
